    2016 Moon Festival Celebration

    Beyond the Job: Is Chattanooga Supporting International Business Families?

    2016 US Southeast China-US Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

    Requirements for Projects Entering the Competition:
    Projects entering the competition must be led by “[a]cademic leader[s], science and technology innovation talents and high-level venture entrepreneurs [at a] leading academic or technological level”. They must have “promising scientific research achievements and projects” with “independent intell[ectual] property, core technology and industrialization development”. The project must have the “capability to tackle key problems in technology, promote the development of high-tech industry and emerging discipline.” Applicable industries include information technology, culture, tourism, fashion, financials, energy conservation and environmental protection, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, and health and biotechnology.

    Requirements for Applicants:
    At least one team member must be able to speak and write Chinese fluently. Applicants must have overseas (outside of China) educational background of master’s degree or higher. All applicants must fill out an application form and submit it along with your qualification certificates to the China US Technology Innovation Center (contact@cutic.org).

    2016 SelectUSA Taiwan Road Show

    Time: Wed, Sept. 28, 2016 – Fri, Sept. 30, 2016
    Location: Taipei, Hsinchu & Taichung, Taiwan

    Event Details:  The road show is an occasion for U.S. economic development organizations (EDOs) to promote their locations to Taiwan-based companies in three of the island’s top cities – Taipei, Taichung, and Hsinchu.  EDOs will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from some of Taiwan’s leading industries, including IT, semiconductors, and renewable energy.

    The road show coincides with U.S. Business Day in Taipei, an event organized by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade and focused on promoting bilateral trade and facilitating investment in the United States.
