If you are under 35 and a non-Chinese resident in the U.S. who has a start-up business or a mature business plan, you are invited to apply for one of 40 positions to the first-ever “China Study Tour for Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters. Through this unique opportunity you will have the chance to learn from and engage with China’s fast-moving innovation and business enterprises.

Held from July 2 – 15, 2017, in Hangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing, the program aims to expand the participants’ understanding of China’s entrepreneurial landscape and enhance their business intelligence, cross-cultural communication and collaborative skills. The program includes tours of successful star enterprises, meetings with entrepreneurs, visits to Chinese universities, and one-on-one meetings with investors and management experts.

China transportation, accommodation, meals, and programing costs will be covered for the selected participants.  An approved participant only has to cover the cost to get there (airfare, visa fee, traveler insurance).

The application deadline, which includes submission of an application form and a three-minute video on your startup, is April 30, 2017. For more information or if you are interested in applying, please email Yingzhen “Jack” Zhao  (Yingzhen.Zhao@mtsu.edu) and Michael Novak (Michael.Novak@mtsu.edu) of the Confucius Institute at Middle Tennessee State University.
