    Over 40 Attend TNCN-Nashville IBC Event on China’s 19th Party Congress Nov 28

    Jake Laband presents on China’s 19th Party Congress, the Trump China visit, and key findings from the 2017 US-China Business Council’s China’s Business Environment Member Survey

     

    On November 28, 2017, the Nashville-Area Chamber of Commerce International Business Council (IBC), Baker Donelson, and TN-China Network held an event on China’s 19th National Party Congress, including a presentation and an open discussion on the business outcomes and implications. Speakers included:

    • Jake Laband, Deputy Director, US-China Business Council-Beijing Office (USCBC)
    • John Scannapieco, Shareholder & C0-Leader, Baker Donelson’s Global Business Team
    • Jeremy Goldkorn, Co-Host and Co-Founder, Sinica Podcast; Editor-in-Chief, SupChina.com

    Over 40 business executives were in attendance. The event opened with short introductions by Nancy Youseff, Chair of the Nashville IBC, and Elizabeth Rowland, Executive Director of TN-China Network, followed by a presentation by Jake Laband on China’s 19th Party Congress, the USCBC Business Environment Survey, and President Trump’s visit to China. After the presentation, Jake Laband, John Scannapieco, and Jeremy Goldkorn sat down for an open discussion and Q&A with the audience.
